Emergency Flood Control

R.J. Zavoral and Sons, Inc. started its business in the valley by fighting floods. In 1966, R.J. Zavoral was appointed civil defense director for the city of East Grand Forks. He coordinated all equipment used during that flood period and oversaw the construction of the clay levees along the Red and Red Lake Rivers. Since then, we have continued to assist area communities with flood fighting, such as the city of Roseau, MN in 2002 and 2004, Ada MN in 2002, and recently Fargo ND in the 2009 flood fight. We have the knowledge, the experience, and the expertise to defend against natural disasters in the valley.
